US$ 6.6 trillion: the bill noone pays

US$ 6.6 trillion are the estimated annual environmental costs from global
human activity equating to 11% of global GDP in 2008.
US$ 2.15 trillion is the cost of environmental damage caused by the world’s
3,000 largest publicly-listed companies in 200
according to a recent report

the beauty is that nobody pays the bill...or our grandchildren pay the bill.

Most of these polluters are supported by governments, according to my most popular blog post ever: The Polluter Gets Paid principle.
